South Bank Parklands on the Brisbane River is a downtown open-air makes for sunny days with an artificial beach, lagoon and hot attractions nearby. An information center in Stanley Street Plaza and lots of useful maps located around the park to help you find your way around.

As with most things in and around the Brisbane CBD and public transport is the easiest way to get to the Parklands. There are limits to the CityCat (Brisbane excellent service water taxi) and City ferry, and bus terminals near the Cultural Centre and South Bank. South Bank and stations Train South Brisbane is within walking distance and if you're already downtown, so it's just a short walk through the goodwill or Victoria Bridge.

South Bank is a popular place with residents to leave because he has a good atmosphere combined with food choices more than you can imagine. There are little cafes to sit and watch the world go by, upscale restaurants to impress, and noisy pubs to dance night away in. Whatever your mood, South Bank will be able to provide. If you are looking for spectacular scenery while you dine and then the restaurants along the river will be the best. If delicious food pub, beer and live music are more your style, then head to the Hotel Fox, The Plough Inn The Ship Inn. The Plough Inn and Ship Inn are both the heritage of the 18th century contained ads that were there before South Bank Parklands has emerged.

For a quick snack, there are many fast food restaurants in the park and also on the Board Walk Plaza in both sitting and dining concessions to win. South Bank restaurants are busy but never more so than during the events. And South Bank is where many festivals are held Brisbane.

Whenever there is a big party, it is likely to be celebrated with fireworks in the park. Sure to arrive early as space becomes very narrow and if you want to sit, you must be prepared to wait.
